A.Position Categories
Outstanding Talents
Candidates are expected to have a strong scientific foundation, a broad academic vision, and have achieved significant original research contributions or breakthrough results in the relevant field. They should be widely recognized and influential scholars both nationally and internationally.
Leading Talents
1. Candidates are expected to have a high level of academic achievements, having obtained a set of high-quality original research results in their discipline. They should possess significant recognition and academic influence both domestically and internationally.
2. Candidates should currently hold a professorial position at a leading university or research institute in China, or at least an associate professorship (or equivalent) at a prestigious overseas university or research institution.
High-level Young Talents
1.Zijiang Outstanding Young Scholar (Young Leading Talent):
①Qualifications: Must hold a doctoral degree and preferably have a formal faculty position at an overseas university, research institute, or corporate R&D center, with at least 3 years of continuous work experience. (Outstanding candidates with a doctorate from an overseas institution may have this requirement relaxed.)
②Teaching & Research: Should be capable of teaching core undergraduate courses and have demonstrated outstanding research achievements. Candidates must have strong leadership and team-building skills, exceptional potential for innovation and development, and the ability to help elevate their discipline to a world-class level.
③Age: generally under 40 years old (this requirement may be relaxed for exceptional cases, especially in humanities and social sciences).
2.Zijiang Young Scholar (Top Young Talent):
1.Qualifications: Must hold a doctoral degree, ideally with at least 1 year of postdoctoral research experience. (This requirement may be relaxed for exceptional candidates who obtained their doctorate overseas.)
2.Research Excellence: Should have achieved high-level research results recognized by peers, show outstanding potential for further development, and be on track to become a leading young scholar in the field.
3.Age: generally under 35 years old (this requirement may be relaxed for exceptional cases in humanities and social sciences).
Outstanding Reserve Talents
1.Qualifications: Must hold a doctoral degree.
2.Research Potential: Should have a solid research foundation with some notable academic achievements, as well as strong potential for growth and innovative thinking.
3.Age: generally under 35 years old.
Note: Applications for all the above positions are open year-round. Qualified candidates will receive support in applying to relevant national and Shanghai talent programs. Those who are selected for such programs will receive significantly enhanced housing subsidies and research start-up funding as part of their package.

C.About ECNU and the School of Pharmacy
East China Normal University (ECNU)：
On October 16, 1951, East China Normal University (ECNU) was founded based on the Great China University (1924) and KwangHua University (1925) while incorporating some other departments from St. John's University etc. Funded by the state, administered by the Ministry of Education, and jointly supervised by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Government, ECNU is a comprehensive research university in China. The School of Pharmacy at ECNU：
The School of Pharmacy at ECNU, established in May 2023, offers doctoral programs in Pharmacy and Biological & Pharmaceutical Engineering. By leveraging ECNU’s disciplinary strengths in pharmacy, computer science, chemistry, biology, statistics, psychology, and software engineering, the school focuses on four key categories of therapeutics: chemical, genetic, cellular, and digital. It pursues cutting-edge research in AI-driven drug design (AIDD), intelligent pharmaceutical manufacturing, digital therapeutics, biopharmaceuticals and advanced drug delivery systems.
